Founded in 2007 by Lt Col Dan Rooney, Folds of Honor is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military service members and, increasingly, first responders.
Through its Higher Education and Children’s Fund programs, Folds of Honor has awarded nearly 62,000 life-changing scholarships for private school tuition, college degrees, vocational training, and more—meeting sacrifice with hope and ensuring that those who protect our freedoms are never forgotten.
By rallying communities across all 50 states, the organization honors service and celebrates America by empowering families through education.
